Buckman Tavern

Tavern

Where Lexington's militiamen gathered and waited through the night before the battle. The front door still bears a bullet hole from the British volley.

What Happened Here

The bullet hole in the front door is one of the most tangible connections to the events of April 19. The tavern's tap room looks much as it did when militiamen gathered here in the pre-dawn darkness.
