Peacefield (Adams National Historical Park)

The Georgian mansion John Adams purchased in 1787 and where he and Abigail lived after his return from Europe. Adams named it 'Peacefield' in honor of the Paris peace treaty he had negotiated. The house remained in the Adams family for four generations, eventually housing John Quincy Adams, Charles Francis Adams, and Henry Adams. It is the most complete surviving Adams family residence.
