United First Parish Church (Church of the Presidents)

The granite church where both John Adams and John Quincy Adams — the only father-and-son presidents before the Bushes — are buried in the family crypt beneath the sanctuary, alongside their wives Abigail and Louisa. The congregation dates to 1639. John Adams was a faithful but heterodox Unitarian parishioner. The church is still an active congregation and offers tours of the presidential crypt.
