John Quincy Adams Birthplace
Historic House
The adjacent saltbox house at 141 Franklin Street where John Quincy Adams was born on July 11, 1767. The two birthplace houses stand within yards of each other, a physical expression of the Adams family dynasty. John Quincy was seven years old when his mother Abigail brought him to a hilltop to watch the Battle of Bunker Hill from a distance — an experience he recorded in his diary and never forgot.
