Historic House
The saltbox farmhouse at 133 Franklin Street where John Adams was born on October 30, 1735. The house, built around 1681 by Adams's great-grandfather, is one of the oldest presidential birthplaces in the country. Adams grew up here and returned to it throughout his life. The house is managed by Adams National Historical Park and is open for guided tours.
