Hartwell Tavern (Minuteman National Historical Park)
Tavern
A surviving 18th-century tavern along the Battle Road in Lincoln, maintained by the National Park Service as a living history site. The Hartwell family ran the tavern as a gathering point for the community; on April 19, 1775, militiamen rallied here before joining the fight. NPS interpreters in period dress demonstrate tavern life and discuss the Battle Road. The building is one of the best-preserved structures on the original 1775 route.
