Jonathan Trumbull Sr. House
Historic House
The gambrel-roofed home of Governor Trumbull, built in 1740, which served as the nerve center of Connecticut's wartime government. Washington visited here in 1775 and 1781. The house reflects the modest prosperity of a Congregationalist merchant-farmer who became one of the most indispensable figures in the American supply chain. The Lebanon Historical Society manages the site.
