Isaac Davis House (Site)

Historic House

The site of the house where Captain Isaac Davis lived before leading the Acton Minutemen to Concord on April 19, 1775. Davis was a gunsmith by trade, and the Acton company was notably well-equipped — each man had a musket, bayonet, and cartridge box. Davis said farewell to his wife Hannah and their four children that morning and never returned. He was the first commissioned officer killed in the Concord fight.
