Acton Arboretum (Hosmer Grant Site)

Landmark

The Acton Arboretum occupies land near the original homestead grants of several of the men who fought on April 19, 1775, including the Hosmer family. Abner Hosmer was the other Acton man killed at the North Bridge — a private, the first private to die in the battle. The arboretum's trails pass through landscape essentially unchanged from the 18th century.
